Just starting out

Hi people! I’m pretty new to firearms and have been hitting the range a bit, trying to get the hang of everything. I’d really love to hear what helped you most when you were just starting out.

I'm new here too, but not to shooting....I would start with a good .22 rimfire rifle, relatively inexpensive and so is the ammunition. One can nail down the fundamentals, before moving to center fires. There is an organization in the state known as the RWVA, otherwise known as the Appleseed program, they teach rifle marksmanship, I bet you'd like it. I was in the program for over 12 years.
