What are your go-to methods for using scouting or trail cams to prepare for your hunts? Please share your techniques, cam locations, and any tips for analyzing the patterns you notice.

I usually start with transition lines where thick cover meets more open woods. Deer usually like to travel along those edges and a camera there will catch a lot more action than just pointing it at a random food source. I also like to drop cameras at trail intersections or where two faint paths cross. Early in the season, I find it helpful to place one near a water source too. Even a small creek crossing can yield a ton of useful intel.
