There I was, all geared up for the opening day of deer season, settled into what I thought was the perfect spot. I’d scouted it thoroughly, with a great line of sight, and it felt like everything was lining up in my favor. About an hour in, I catch some movement. My heart starts racing as I get everything ready, and then... bam! My phone goes off at full blast. Totally forgot to silence it. It was like I had a concert going on in the middle of the woods. That buck didn’t just get startled, he practically vanished into thin air! And to top it all off? It was a spam call about my car’s extended warranty.
