Pistol recoil springs

Just out of curiosity, how frequently do you change the recoil springs in your pistols?

It really comes down to how much I'm pushing my gun. I shoot often, so I tend to swap out after about 2500-3500 rounds. I just want to stay ahead of any wear and tear rather than deal with issues later on.
