The other night, I was checking out some listings and saw something unusual with the prices for Model 41. After a bit of research, it turns out that S&W has officially ceased production on them, which makes the price increase on new models a lot clearer. Has anyone else picked up on this, or am I just behind the curve?

You know how it goes every time a classic gun is taken off the market. Those who always planned to buy one panic while the lucky owners start smiling :ROFLMAO:

Its funny you mention that.........I just got a call from Texas, been one of my shootin buddies for 30 years, I spent time with him around Christmas. Hes 80 now, but can still see and shoots pretty good. Hes been shooting Metallic Silouette since the days of Panch Villa, haha
Anyway, I brought my Smith 41 with me, just to see how shed do, I have owned her at least 20 years, but havent shot in years. I couldnt believe it, but I cleaned all the chickens first try at 25 yds. offfhand.
My buddy wasnt having it, so I passed it to him, and he started shooting........same thing. I didnt get the gun back(I stayed 5 days with him) damn near forgot about it.........so im leaving out, and he says "Ill give ya $600 for that wore out ol 41.........
Im thinking, hell, I paid $750 for it 20 yrs ago...........hes my buddy, yada, yada......I told him let me think on it. He calls me and says a new one is close to $1400.......I like to shot coffee out my nose.......yeah, Ill have to counter his offer, at least to $950.........just to watch him squirm, haha
What say yall? Hes got a 1904 Stevens Model 44 Target I been after him for for at least 20 years......he gave $200 back in the 90s.........
