Tips on short ARs?

If you've spent some time firing a shorty AR, what recoil system and gas tuning options have worked best for you in terms of achieving a clean and dependable performance?

My go-to setup for short ARs has always been adjustable gas blocks along with H2 buffers. This setup lets you really dial in the gas system. Stock setups are a bit too hot so tuning them down can really improve performance.

Short ARs work best when you stop messing with the gas system and adjust the buffer instead. A slightly heavier buffer fixed more problems than a lot of complicated changes.
