Trying a micro red dot on a pistol

The learning curve is real...it is not like switching optics on a rifle. The window is smaller, the dot is harder to pick up at first and your presentation has to be more consistent than you think. It takes real repetition before it feels natural. So I think it is worth it but it is not a casual upgrade, it is something you have to commit to training.

It’s not plug and play at all, you earn that dot through reps until your draw stops lying to you

It feels awkward at first but consistency of presentation matters more than the optic itself.

Pistol red dots are definitely not a plug-and-play kind of deal. That little window really punishes you for a sloppy presentation and the learning curve feels a lot steeper than it does for rifle optics. You either commit to putting in the practice or there's no real point in bothering.

The dot exposes every flaw in your presentation immediately, once it clicks though, irons start feeling ancient.
