What i noticed after switching to a different caliber for carry

I went from 9mm to .45 for about six months just to experience the difference. I carried fewer rounds, felt every ounce of the weight difference and noticed my accuracy at speed was slightly off at first, so I went back to 9mm. This is not a slam on .45, it just wasn't the right fit for how I carry.

Caliber debates aside, finding what actually fits your carry style and shooting rhythm beats chasing numbers on a spec sheet..

That’s the practical way to look at it. If you shoot one caliber faster and carry it more comfortably, that’s probably the right answer.

I gave carrying a .40 a shot for a while, thinking it’d be a good middle ground. What caught me off guard was how much slower my follow-up shots were compared to my usual 9mm. The difference was pretty noticeable.
